1. Send it
Open the Tella app and send what you've got, the way you'd text a friend: a photo, a few photos of a job, a short video clip, or a couple of lines like "spring menu launches Friday". Add a sentence of context if it helps: who it's for, what's special, what to mention.
Before it writes anything, Tella checks the photos. Screenshots, documents and unusable frames are dropped so they never become a post.
2. Tella makes the post
Depending on what you sent and your plan, Tella makes one of six things:
- A captioned photo post, cropped to a shape Instagram accepts
- A job or customer story from your real photos
- A text-to-video with voiceover, footage and captions, no filming
- An AI avatar video of you speaking the script in your cloned voice
- An edited reel from your raw clip
- Your clothes on a model, your in-house model or an AI one, from a hanger photo, for clothing shops
Captions and scripts come from your brand brief: how your business talks, who it's talking to, and what it never says. Tella won't add a price, date or figure you didn't give it.
3. You approve
The finished post comes back to you in the app, and you get a notification. Approve it, ask for different words, or skip it.
Video has two checkpoints:
- The words. Tella shows you the script first. Change it as often as you like; nothing is produced yet.
- The video. Once the script is approved, Tella produces the video, then shows it to you before it's posted.
Whatever words you approve are exactly what's published, or exactly what your avatar says.
4. Tella publishes
One approval publishes to every account you've connected: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok (TikTok takes videos). Photos go out as feed posts and videos as reels. Tella then tells you where each one went, network by network.
Publishing goes through your Buffer account, so Tella never needs your social media passwords. If a network rejects a post, Tella says so and gives you a fresh approve button. It never retries on its own, so a post can't go out twice.
Behind the scenes
- Setup: on paid plans we build your brand brief with you on a call, connect your accounts and, on video plans, create your avatar and cloned voice from a short recording, with consent.
- Free trial: you answer three quick questions and Tella reads your website or public social account to learn how you sound.
- Your team: owners can add staff by email. Everyone sees the same posts.
- Your allowance: plans include a monthly number of photo posts and minutes of video. Posts that fail don't count.
