Video editing

Turn a raw clip into a finished reel

You already film things: the job site, the kitchen at full tilt, the class in full swing. Send the clip to Tella as it is. Tella edits it into a reel with a voiceover and captions, ready for your approval.

What Tella does with your clip

  1. Watches it. Tella looks at what happens in the clip and reads anything you typed with it.
  2. Writes a voiceover timed to the clip's length, plus the caption and hashtags.
  3. Records the voiceover and replaces the original sound with it.
  4. Adds captions, burned in and readable on a phone.
  5. Encodes it in a format Instagram, Facebook and TikTok accept as a reel.
  6. Sends it to you for approval. Nothing is posted until you say so.

Nothing made up

The voiceover and caption only describe what's visible in the clip or what you told Tella. No invented prices, dates, names or results. If you want an offer mentioned, type it with the clip.

Good clips to send

  • A walk-through of a finished job
  • A dish being plated, or coffee being poured
  • A class, a session or an event in full swing
  • New stock being unpacked
  • The team setting up for the day

Hold the phone upright: vertical clips make the best reels.

Questions

How long can my clip be?

Short clips, around 30 seconds by default. Tella will ask for a shorter one if a clip is too long, and that doesn't count against your allowance.

Does the edit keep my original sound?

No. Tella replaces the original audio with a voiceover written for the clip, then burns in captions. It suits clips where the picture tells the story: a job site, a busy kitchen, a class.

Does a video edit use up my video minutes?

No. Edits of your own clips don't count against your plan's video minutes. They're included on the video plans.
